Mosaic Speech Therapy is a privately owned clinic that provides comprehensive therapy services in the Greater Lansing Area. We have created an inclusive and welcoming practice where we provide individualized therapy to people of all ages. We base our goals on the unique strengths and supports needed of each individual in order to maximize their potential. Services are provided based on applying the best available evidence-based practices, using expert clinical judgment, and considering clients’ individual preferences and values.

Jodi Cohen
Jodi Cohen is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist and the founder and director of Mosaic Speech Therapy. She received her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Audiology Sciences and her master’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders, from Michigan State University. Jodi holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and a Michigan Speech Language Pathology professional license. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Michigan Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She was appointed to the Michigan Board of Speech-Language Pathologists in 2014 and recently concluded her second term as chair of the board. Additionally, she has been a clinical faculty member of Michigan State University, serving as an off-campus clinical supervisor for graduate students and clinical fellows since 2002, and more recently for Eastern Michigan University and Grand Valley State University.
For the past 30 years, Jodi has gained clinical experience across the continuum of care in a variety of settings including acute care, sub-acute, and inpatient rehabilitation; long-term care, residential brain injury clinic, skilled nursing, and senior living. She also provided services in the Chicago public schools for 5 years and the Lansing School District for 16 years. She opened her private practice in 2005.
Jodi believes that connecting with others is one of the most essential aspects of the human experience, and that it is through communication that we are able to make those connections. She has a passion for helping others communicate more effectively and finds true joy in each client’s progress and success.
When she is not in the clinic, Jodi enjoys making art, riding her bike, and playing with her dog Ellie.

Chelsea Ozuch
Chelsea Ozuch is a licensed and certified speech language pathologist. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Michigan State University. Chelsea has been working as a speech therapist in the Greater Lansing Area serving a diverse population of adults and children with various communication disorders. She has worked in acute care hospital and inpatient rehabilitation settings, specializing in cognitive-linguistic, motor speech, and swallowing disorders. Her experiences working in this environment strengthened and nurtured her ability to provide highly skilled care with flexibility to meet individual needs of each of her patients. Most recently, she worked in the schools and virtual learning environments with children ages 3 to 19 years old, further developing her expertise in language processing. She also has experience in working with children with developmental disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, and motor-speech disorders including apraxia.
Chelsea’s goal is to help patients improve their communication skills, which will ultimately increase their confidence and independence to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
Chelsea integrates evidence-based practice and each patient’s beliefs and experiences to provide a collaborative approach to care. She focuses on fostering each patient’s self-efficacy, the belief in their own capacity to execute behaviors necessary to attain a specific outcome or achieve a goal. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and their families and is deeply gratified by helping them meet their communication goals.

Sydney Padgett
Sydney Padgett is a licensed and certified speech language pathologist. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Communicative Sciences and Disorders, and Cognitive Science, from Michigan State University, as well as her master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Sydney’s clinical experiences include school-based therapy, adult outpatient, cancer rehabilitation, pediatric outpatient, and inpatient rehabilitation. Prior to joining Mosaic Speech Therapy, Sydney worked in an outpatient setting treating a variety of communication disorders including articulation, language, feeding/swallowing, fluency, and implementing augmentative and alternative communication. Her area of specialty includes treating feeding and swallowing disorders in the pediatric and adult population.
Sydney has a passion for collaborating with patients and families to ensure all therapy is functional and goals are created to focus on improving quality of life for all ages.
Outside of speech therapy, Sydney enjoys playing soccer, reading, traveling, collecting rocks on Michigan’s northern beaches, and watching MSU sports.
